Goal of this project is to design sigma-delta digital to analog converter with resolution of 14 bits and frequency band (0 ÷ 20) kHz. Main functional blocks: interpolator and modulator sigma-delta will be realized like digital structures. Reconstruction filter will be realized like an analog structure. For design a check of parameters of designed converter programs MATLAB and Simulink are used. Designed digital structures will be described by VHDL language.
Creating 3D Model of Temporomandibular Joint
Šmirg, Ondřej ; Bartušek, Karel (referee) ; Liberda,, Ondřej (referee) ; Smékal, Zdeněk (advisor)
The dissertation thesis deals with 3D reconstruction of the temporomandibular joint from 2D slices of tissue obtained by magnetic resonance. The current practice uses 2D MRI slices in diagnosing. 3D models have many advantages for the diagnosis, which are based on the knowledge of spatial information. Contemporary medicine uses 3D models of tissues, but with the temporomandibular joint tissues there is a problem with segmenting the articular disc. This small tissue, which has a low contrast and very similar statistical characteristics to its neighborhood, is very complicated to segment. For the segmentation of the articular disk new methods were developed based on the knowledge of the anatomy of the joint area of the disk and on the genetic-algorithm-based statistics. A set of 2D slices has different resolutions in the x-, y- and z-axes. An up-sampling algorithm, which seeks to preserve the shape properties of the tissue was developed to unify the resolutions in the axes. In the last phase of creating 3D models standard methods were used, but these methods for smoothing and decimating have different settings (number of polygons in the model, the number of iterations of the algorithm). As the aim of this thesis is to obtain the most precise model possible of the real tissue, it was necessary to establish an objective method by which it would be possible to set the algorithms so as to achieve the best compromise between the distortion and the model credibility achieve.

Application of kriging in engineering problems with uncertainties
Tvrzník, Jakub ; Lehký, David (referee) ; Vořechovský, Miroslav (advisor)
The presented bachelor thesis aims at interpolation method called kriging, which is based on regression of values measured in the surroundings. Kriging is based on the idea that interpolated function is one realization of a random field. Using this method we can quantify the estimates of functional values at the surrounding points, including estimation errors at each point. At the same tame, kriging respects the exact measured values and the interpolation passes through them. The practical part demonstrates the application of method to engineering tasks, where the measured values are distributed randomly. In other examples, the measured values are distributed by using a grid.
Spline interpolation in CNC milling
Internet library of methods and algorithms used for medical image registration
Koňařík, Jakub ; Fedra, Petr (referee) ; Peter, Roman (advisor)
Image registration is a procedure which is heading to search for a geometric transformation, which ensures same position, orientation and size of coresponding objects in pictures. How does these methods work? These methods and principies are explained in first part of this work. Second part of this work is aimed to explain theory about information systems and practical creation of the internet databaze. These practical part was realized in editorial system called Drupal.

This thesis deals with lossless and losing methods of data compressions and their possible applications in the measurement engineering. In the first part of the thesis there is a theoretical elaboration which informs the reader about the basic terminology, the reasons of data compression, the usage of data compression in standard practice and the division of compression algorithms. The practical part of thesis deals with the realization of the compress algorithms in Matlab and LabWindows/CVI.
Temporal interpolation of ophthalmologic video sequencies using multimodal registration
Kadla, Jan ; Odstrčilík, Jan (referee) ; Jan, Jiří (advisor)
This master’s thesis gives a description of fundus camera as a medical imaging system. Sub features of this system are explained in short, thus examples of certain construction variants are given. Furthermore, the work deals with image fusion and associated possibilities of digital image processing. One set of consecutive scanned images of human eye’s retina has been provided for the practical part of this work. During program processing of these data, decomposition of obtained images to single-color sequences is performed. For these partial monochromatic sequences, monomodal registration is performed, based on calculation of the brightness similarity criterion between the pairs of images. From the three created monochromatic sequences of registered images, new sequence of color images is created, using multimodal registration of each image triples. As a basis for similarity evaluation during multimodal registration, an information similarity criterion was used.
Deinterlacing in uncompressed digital video sequences
Meňhart, Pavel ; Kratochvíl, Tomáš (referee) ; Slanina, Martin (advisor)
Interlacing is the process of frame scanning and frame displaying being based on the even and uneven lines‘ interchanging. This framework originated along with the PAL and NTSC television standards‘ formation in the course of 1930s. The process mentioned above stopped frames displayed on older TV sets from flashing. Nevertheless, there is a disadvantage of the frame processed after this manner, consisting in its attribute to be displayed in a clean-cut way just on classical TV sets. However, plasma and LCD television appliances, projectors and computer monitors always display the entire frame all at once, therefore composing it of the both fields, yet not being acquired concurrently, differing in moving objects‘ positions, moreover their contours are doubled, frayed and unfocussed. This master´s thesis deals with fundamentals of the interlaced video signal‘s formation, problems coming about at featuring the interlaced video like this, followed by operating methods of deinterlacing itself. In conclusion, there are my own softwares presented, having been developed in MATLAB computer environment and software command language C, and implementing some of the operating methods designed for deinterlacing in uncompressed digital video sequences.
Compensation of Loudspeaker Frequency Response for a Wider Listening Area
Beránek, Šimon ; Říha, Kamil (referee) ; Schimmel, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor thesis studies problematics of calculating average impulse responses of rooms. Measuring signals like MLS or linear/exponential sine sweep are described. Basic methods of interpolation are explained and their applicability in frequency response calculations is described. Digital filters are explained as a tool for frequency response equalization. First part of this thesis tests methods of interpolation on 64 measured impulse responses. These methods have been further optimized and one was chosen to calculate the average impulse response for each of the measured rooms. Second part consists of AB*X listening tests deployed to find subjective aural differences of the interpolated impulse responses and few of the measured impulse responses. These interpolated impulses responses were further compensated using a warped filter library.
